"Reg" Pinto.

BIOGRAPHY
Reg Pinto
was born in Rome, Italy. He moved to Perth, Western Australia in
1976, at age 13 with his family. Reg began his career as a
ceramic tile installer under the guidance of his father, Bruno
Pinto in 1978. Some time later he was attracted to natural stone
because of its unique elegance and unmatchable beauty. Ten years
later, in 1988, he branched off into the stone masonry trade.
Over
the years he has worked in some of the most upscale homes in Perth,
as well as prestigious commercial buildings throughout the city.
He has
worked for renowned stone companies and earned his reputation as
arguably one of the most qualified stone masons in Western Australia.
However, he also realized that in
as
much as natural
stone is beautiful and highly sought, its natural chemical makeup requires special care
and maintenance. The inquiries coming
in from his customers about the maintenance requirements of the
stones he’s been installing in their dwellings became too numerous
to be ignored. Reg felt the need to complete his professional image
by extending his offering of services into the maintenance part of
the trade.
His
quest for specific in-depth knowledge led him to begin searching
publications about natural stone classifications and their chemical
makeup. His search took him way over the borders of Australia, all
the way to New Jersey, USA, where he met Mr. Maurizio Bertoli,
one of the foremost internationally recognized stone experts. Mr
Bertoli is founder and technical
director of MB Stone Restoration & Supply, Inc. a company
specializing in training and consultation for the maintenance
and refinishing of natural stone, as well as in the manufacturing of
one of the most highly regarded lines of specialty products for both
end-users and restoration contractors.
His philosophy is
“Education before any sale”. The Stone Doctor thrives on this
philosophy and along with its high standards and excellent products
is available to assist you with the maintenance and care of natural
stone.
